Egypt and Italy
History
Muhammad Ali which was the Egyptian leader, sent an Egyptian mission to study printing arts in Italy in 1813. He also assisted various Italian experts for tasks of building the modern state. In Egypt, the Italian community consisted of large number of workers, artisans, merchants and professionals. This is due to the fact that Italy have been weak both economically and politically for a long period. Italian people also formed the second expatriate community in Egypt before 1952.
Italian Art inspired by Egypt nowadays
Guido Daniele
Italian Artist Guido Daniele, makes use of hand painting which is featured in most of his works. With its use of human figures, a pharaoh, bright colours and contrasting colours, it creates a typical Egyptian artistic work. There seems to be a contrast in this work due to the phones which are Italian and the painted human beings which are typical Egyptian.
